Malik Augustus - Help Yourself

Malik Augustus is an alternative hip hop artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His following is growing by the day as he continues to push out new music with a unique sound. For this video I wanted to create a disjointed overall feel by saturating the visuals with quick and random special effects. I was pleased to receive recognition from City Pages Newspaper after the videos release placing it 4th on the top 5 Minnesota music videos of the winter.

Bar Spills

Bar Spills was my first ever video series. Follow along as my father and I make our way to hole in the wall bars in tiny rural towns across the midwest. We strike up conversations with the locals on a variety of topics ranging from politics, to love, to the existence of alien species. My father, Jon Klaverkamp, has been a successful writer and blogger but wanted to try out something new. We had a blast filming and look back on this period with fond memories.
